Some years ago still considered unacceptable, as "cheap" and for a "real" painting unsuitably, acrylic color won more and more followers. Color pigments with synthetic resin are mixed the main ingredients of this color.

Acrylic is suited very well to paint almost of all surfaces. Acrylic is diluted with water and just as watercolors can be used. Also it is possible to paint how with oil paints, while one applies acrylic thickly or mixes with additional gel pastes.

However, the result can be seen and is comparable with pictures with oil tempera or watercolors were painted.
